On behalf of the Honesdale Golf Club and Board of Director's, I would like to share with you our new updates as we strive to move forward during the summer of 2020 in this open letter.

We would like to acknowledge the importance of you! With your dedication and responsibility as a member of Honesdale Golf Club we were able to offer all of our members a great opportunity to get out and golf, enjoy a great drink while being on the course, and enjoy a great meal to go after we were done playing, over the last month.

We cannot thank our hospitality team and course staff members enough for all of their hard work and dedication during this time. From keeping our carts cleaned and sanitized to playing perfectly cur fairways and greens to that special drink or great meal! Thank you!

As we begin to transmission our golf club to the next stages of our reopening, during this interesting pandemic transition period, we are still going to adhere to the latest CDC Guidelines for the COVID-19 Response and Regulations.

Starting Friday, June 5, 2020, we will begin transitioning our golf club to the next level of COVID-19 Response.

First, we will begin by opening our pro shop to our membership for tee-time check-ins, merchandise sales, and other pro shop services. Based on membership feedback, we will continue to encourage and require the scheduling of tee times in our Chronogolf System. Tee times, if available, may be made in person or over the phone by calling our pro shop at 570-253-5616.

Golf Carts will continue to be cleaned and sanitized after every use. However, members will now have the opportunity to ride together in a shared golf cart for two. If you would like to have your own golf cart, and if a cart is available, you may request a cart for single use only. Divot repair bottles will also be placed onto the golf carts for your use. The divot repair bottle will be cleaned and refilled when the golf cart is returned for cleaning after your round of golf. Please pick up your golf cart outside of the pro shop, and drop off your used golf cart in the cleaning area behind the foyer entrance in the lower level of the club house.

Second, locker rooms may be utilized as they are intended. We ask that you please use the disinfect in the locker rooms after each use. Please be mindful of the congregation of too many people in one location. Remember, the club house must be utilized as a pass through only. You may not congregate inside of the building or dine or drink within the walls during this phased reopening.

Third, we will begin outdoor drinks and dining for our members on the deck, around the club house area by the deck, and under our temporarily installed tent by the club house. Please check in with our hospitality team before moving to a table or seating area. These areas will be serviced by our hospitality team. We strongly encourage you to call ahead for reservations to secure your outdoor dining table for your friends and families. You may still continue to order in person at the bar for drinks and food to take on the course or take out. You will also be permitted to share your dining experience by sitting together if you are from different house holds. This will be up to the members of that particular party. Our hospitality team will continue to wear masks and gloves while serving you in these regulated areas. After each seat or table use, each area will be cleaned and sanitized for the next table reservation. We will begin outdoor dining and drinking on Friday, June 5, 2020, weather permitting. Please see our special drink menu, lunch menu, and dinner menu for your enjoyment by visiting our website. As automatic gratuity has been deprecated, please remember to share your excellent experience with our hospitality team member by providing generous gratuity.

Fourth, we would like to share with you our new hours of operation. Our Golf Course will be open for commencing tee-times daily at 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Our Bar will be open Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Our restaurant will be open Tuesday through Friday 11:00 AM - 8:00 p.m. and Saturday through Monday 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. *Due to limitations closing hours may vary based on club activities and member use.

Lastly, when visiting the club house, bar, or restaurant we will be accepting all forms of payment to include cash, credit card, or check. You may still charge your account, but all invoices must be paid within 30 days as in accordance with our by-laws.

In closing, all members and guests are encouraged to wear masks while being in the club house and outdoor areas. You do not have to wear a mask while golfing, eating, or drinking. Remember this is a recommendation by the CDC and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact myself directly via e-mail or by calling 570-253-5616 ext. 6042.

Thank you for being a supportive member of the Honesdale Golf Club!

Respectfully Yours,

Scott D. Miller
President of Honesdale Golf Club
